THYMOVAR is a thymol based product consisting of cellulose strips. Each strip contains 15g of Thymol. Once the strips are placed in the hive the thymol is released and the vapours build up in the hive. The vapors are toxic to varroa mites, but not harmful to honey bees.

Thymovar contains 10 thin strips and comes in a double packet, each packets contains 5 strips.The strips are thin enough to not need any ekes or spacers, you simply place them on top of the brood frames

When to use:.

• Enough to treat 5 full colonies
• Use in the spring before the honey flow starts or after the honey has been harvested
• Use when daily temperatures are below 30°C
• Daily temperature is above 15°C
• Best efficacy is reached when average daily temperature is above is 20-25°C

How to use:

• Prior to treatment remove honey supers
• Use one Thymovar strip per colony
• Cut or break into 3 or 4 pieces and place on top of the frames close to but not directly over the brood
• Leave the treatment on for 3 to 4 weeks then repeat
