Product Description
The porter bee escape is easily used to clear your bees from your supers. It works using a one way plastic valve. Check the valve springs are 3mm apart, this will allow the bees to pass through but they won't be able to return.
When the time comes to take off your supers, remove the queen excluder and replace with your crownboard with porter bee escapes in place. When the bees leave the supers via the bee escape they will be unable to return due the valve. The bee escapes will fit all standard crownboards with the oval holes, the actual size is 40mmx 110mm. If used correctly your supers should be cleared of bees in about 24 hours.
