National Nuc, deposit only 2025

Our complete small colony of honey bees on 6 frames with brood at all stages; eggs, larvae, sealed brood and at least one frame of food stores make this the ideal way to start beekeeping. These bees are on British Standard National frames which are suitable for both National and WBC Hives.

We take great pride in our nuc production and we guaranteed you will not be disappointed with the bees. Over wintered nucs are grown on new frames from the previous summer and nurtured over winter. Only once we are completely happy that the bees are ready to be hived and that the weather is suitable will we start to let them go out. Prior to leaving us, all nucs are rigorously checked and the queens are remarked if necessary.  

Both the overwintered and spring National nucs come in a fully ventilated correx travel box.

We are members of the National Bee Unit's Disease Assurance Scheme for Honeybees - DASH. We work very closing with the NBU (National Bee Unit) and APHA (Animal and Plant Agency) to guarantee you disease free bees that are a pleasure to handle.

Overwintered Nucs - ready mid to end of April onwards, headed with last years queen £295, plus delivery if required*

Spring Nucs - ready from the end of May to Mid July onwards £280, plus delivery if required*

You will be paying a £40 non refundable deposit. The balance, plus any delivery costs, will be invoiced and emailed over when your bees are ready.

Delivery cost to any UK Mainland address is £38** per nuc and is guaranteed next day delivery before 1pm, if delivery is required this will be invoiced when we invoice for the balance on your order.

*Collection is always the better option for your nuc as it is less stressful to the bees. However if you do require delivery of your bees we can organise this for you. Please contact us to discuss ways we can help if you live a distance from us and would prefer to collect. If you do require delivery this will be charged when we raise the final invoice when the bees are ready.
