The Carpathian bees is a joy to work with. Nicknamed "Cinderella" due to quiet, perseverance and dedication to work. The bees are peacefull, easy to handle with a good winter hardiness. They have an early spring development, with a moderate swarming tendency and efficient use of early honey flow. The queen has a high egg production, strong colonies build up by the time the main honey flow is on.

The Carpathian queens originate from the Carpathain Mountains in Romania. Queens are naturally open mated and come marked in a queen travel and introduction cage with attendant workers.

About delivery & Ordering

First mated queens are available from early April onwards. Whilst we will do our best to send the queens the week you request, we cannot always guarantee this however we will inform you of any delays by email. Dispatch of your order will be sent by email so you know your order is on it way to you. These queens are usually sent out on a mid week but it can vary.

• Guaranteed next day delivery - £8.00 - see NOTE below

NOTE - Guaranteed next day means you will get your queen the day after we post it not the day after you order it. It is also a service you need to sign for or the post man will take it back to the depot.

A queen that is found dead on arrival will only be replaced if we are contacted immediately on the day you receive it, either by email or telephone. We may request you return it to us, replacement will not be made if the cage as been opened or tampered with. We will replace a dead queen once only, no refunds will be offered.
