General Stock Orders (not live bees)
Delivery Information
We dispatch orders once payment has cleared. We aim to send out orders placed before 12 noon on the same day, but during the busy beekeeping season dispatch may move to the following day. You’ll receive email updates when your order is placed, processed, and on its way (or ready for collection).
We use DHL and Royal Mail for stock item deliveries (not live bees). DHL will email or text you with an estimated delivery time, and you can choose a safe place for your parcel. Please note: parcels left without a signature at your request are your responsibility.
Pallet orders must be placed by phone or email. These take around 2–3 days after payment (bank transfer only). Boxes of glass jars are collection only, unless you’re ordering a full pallet.
Live Queen Bee Orders
Live queen orders must be placed separately from general stock, as they are processed and shipped differently.
The only exception: mated queens ordered with introduction cages, which can be shipped together.
If you don’t order them separately, the system will only offer collection. We will then contact you to arrange the correct carriage payment.
When checking out:
-
Choose “General Stock Orders” for all regular items.
-
Use the Queen Delivery options only for mated queen orders.
If the wrong option is chosen, we’ll contact you to adjust the delivery charge.

Orders for Live Bees - Important Information
Queen Orders
We’ll email you on the day your queen order is dispatched. Queens are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 24 (no signature required and usually posted through your letterbox) or Guaranteed Next Day Delivery, which does require a signature.
Please note: Guaranteed Next Day Delivery means Royal Mail guarantees delivery the day after we post your queen. It does not mean your queen is dispatched the same day you place your order.
In the very rare case your queen arrives dead, we will replace her once, as long as you contact us immediately on the day of delivery (by phone or email). You may be asked to return the queen. We cannot replace queens if the cage has been tampered with, and we do not offer refunds for dead queens.
Delivery Prices:
-
Tracked 24: £4.50
-
Guaranteed Next Day by 1pm: £8.00
If you order multiple queens to be sent on different days, additional postage will be charged.
Nucs of Bees
Prices shown for Nucs of live bees do not include carriage. We strongly recommend collection, but if you are too far away, we can arrange delivery for around £36 via Royal Mail Special Delivery (guaranteed next day before 1pm). Royal Mail handles bees quickly and carefully, but collection is always encouraged to minimise stress on the bees.
You’re also welcome to arrange collection by a trusted third party.
If you have any questions about delivery or shipping, please get in touch.
Please note: All deposits paid on queens, nucs, and packages are non-refundable.
