Carniolan Queen Bee Mated

Queen Qualities - Bred from lines by Pollmann, Slovenia, our Carnica queens produce bees that are very well suited to our UK climate.  They over-winter well and carry a smaller cluster of bees through the coldest periods, which is a clever strategy as this means they do not need quite as much food as some of the other breeds and strains of bees available. They have a superb temperament, we have received so many emails telling us how the Carniolan bees are a pleasure to handle and require very little or no smoke during a hive inspection.

These F1 Mated Queens originate from our European partners. We often receive feedback telling us how the Carniolan bees are a pleasure to handle and require very little or no smoke during a hive inspection however they are a very prolific bees and need a lot of space.

All our queens are naturally mated, they come in a queen travel and introduction cage with attendant workers, all queens are marked.

About QUEEN posting:

You are ordering for a week commencing date and our Queens are normally posted on Wednesdays*, we can delay and post later in the week, just make a note in the special instructions box as you go through the check out.

Whilst we will do our best to send the queens the week you request, there may be times when, due to poor weather, that we have a delay or have to offer you an alternative race.  

Dispatch of your order will be notified by email so you know your order is on it way to you.

*We do email you on Tuesday to confirm dispatch date for the week. 

Delivery will be added to the invoice that we raise for the the balance due when the queens are ready, options will be as below*:

• Tracked 24 - £4.50 - no signature required, will be posted through your door.
• Guaranteed Next Day delivery £8.00 - you need to sign for this service. This service guarantees you get the queen the day after we post not the day after you order.
